Spain, Galicia tour… Mornings like these… It was such a pleasure to visit this part of Spain. I visited A Coruña, Ferrol and Valdoviño… See why.
Valdoviño is a municipality in the province of A Coruña in the autonomous community of Galicia in northwestern Spain.
I was located in Ferrol, which is a cute town..
But I was amazed by landscapes, so I was spending days there. The granite coast of Valdoviño is home to several sandy beaches, a large lagoon and a lighthouse.
The lagoon and sandy area of Valdoviño is a Galician natural area declared a protected wetland and occupies 490 ha. from the Frouxeira lagoon and the Frouxeira beach.
Waves are so big, it is a good spot for kitesurfing, and nature is breathtaking.
The viewpoint and lighthouse of Punta Frouxeira is worth a detour for the views of the rugged sea crashing below and the beach of Lago and town of Valdeviño looking north. The lighthouse itself is hot open to the public but the walk around it is interesting, although special care should be take when approaching the edge of the cliffs.
Last night I spent in Ferrol again, it was my first time I was dancing in the rain. I have so nice memories from there.
Spain, Galicia tour, is a must.
