I’m not a snow fan, actually I freeze just thinking about it… But I went in Julian Alps anyway. Wondering why?
There was an international photography competition where almost 3000 photographers attended. It was organized by travel agency, and as I won first prize. It was paid weekend in Julian Alps, in Cerkno. As I avoided cold places, I said to myself not to judge without huge experience, until I actually feel it. So I went. In the heart of Slovenia, between the peaks in an untouched nature lies famous ski resort Cerkno, which became The Best Slovenian Ski resort in season.
Of course, its all nice and white and beautiful, but it wasn’t for me. I just didn’t got used to freeze outside. I went for a walk, and run back to the hotel where I had amazing service. The hotel offer is completed by luxury apartments Alpska perla at the top of the Ski resort. In hotel there was a thermal pool and a World of saunas – it is the first thermal resort within Slovenian Alps. Food was excellent, and I spend days relaxing in jacuzzi and pool, with amazing view outside. While warm..
